It is the mission of Women’s Institute for Family Health (WIFH) to provide health, education and social support services to promote the physical, mental and emotional wellness of women, men, children, youth and families.
Women’s Institute for Family Health is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1999 to provide comprehensive health and support services to promote physical, mental and emotional wellness.
WIFH strives to increase awareness of racial and ethnic health disparities and to develop viable strategies and services to reduce the rates of chronic and life threatening illness among the most vulnerable members of our communities.
“The Recovery Net” Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Facility
Services include assessments, individual, group and family therapy, medication management, emergency evaluations, co-occurring and addiction education and also resource information and referrals to psychiatric and primary medical care and social support services. We also offer “specialty” recovery groups on topical issues such as parenting, anger management and domestic violence. Services are available to multicultural men, women and youth throughout the Philadelphia region.

Training and Education:
We offer training classes on a wide range of topics to educate the community and providers on health risks and health challenges. A primary goal is to teach skills that will empower people to take control over their lives by learning how to make informed decisions about their health maintenance. We also work to improve access to available health care services and resources.
Health Promotion Events:
Women’s Institute for Family Health sponsors health promotion events throughout the year that include forums, health fairs and community workshops on various topics impacting the health and wellbeing of the community at large.
